Korean dog training courses have been taught to train dogs to fly, according to a report in South Korea’s Yonhap news agency.
The course is part of a wider effort to improve the safety of the animals.
The training is being taught to dogs that have been on a flight since the 1970s.
“The dog has become a symbol of the nation and people in Korea,” said Park Hye-young, the deputy director of the Korea Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, in an interview with the Korea Times.
The country has more than 10,000 kennel owners, according the government.
“We hope that by teaching this dog to fly we will become the most popular breed in the country,” Hye said.
