Nike’s CEO told Recode that his company has been “very good at getting trainers to say they’re good” at online training.
But there’s still work to be done.
“We’re seeing trainers who say they’ve had no success with online,” he said.
“What we’ve seen in terms of a consistent rate of success is that the most valuable asset to our trainers is the ability to actually connect with the trainers.”
This is what K9 Training has done with its training, and the company says it is “on track” to offer training that works on its platform.
“The problem is we haven’t gotten our trainers to take the time to develop that connection,” he told Recodes.
“If we can build that connection and connect with our trainers, that will be a real advantage.”
K9 has worked with more than 40,000 trainers to get online training right, and says it’s been able to increase its average session time by 25% since it launched in 2014.
“In many ways we’re just a stepping stone in getting the training and training people to come out of the door,” K9’s CEO said.
